Abstract
The National Electrical Code Article 635 doesn't apply to most information technology (IT) equipment, even though it covers IT. The use of IT equipment in non-IT segments of businesses makes the code unapplicable for IT industry. The chapters 5,6, and 7 describe applications in which certain additional requirements are necessary or in which certain exceptions can be made to the requirements. The assessment of the risks and the benefits the article provides is necessary before designing a room to comply with NEC Article 645.
