N2 - Spasticity is a major physical complication of many neurologic and traumatic conditions of the brain and spine and can lead to muscle contracture, joint stiffness, reduced range of movement, skin breakdown, and pain. The management of spasticity includes a range of pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic interventions, often used in combination to optimize outcomes. However, it is important to identify and prioritize the patient's and clinician's goals, in order to create common attainable goals. These goals should be reviewed and revised at regular intervals.
