Abstract

The distribution of Tomato leaf curl virus was investigated in four locations of Leh region of Ladakh and it was observed that the virus occurred in all surveyed areas. The percentage of disease incidence ranged from 10.00 to 20.00%. The virus was detected in symptomatic tomato plants using specific PCR primers. The phylogeny tree was constructed and the results showed maximum 99% homology with Tomato leaf curl New Delhi virus (ToLCV) segment DNA-A, ToLCV of eggplant segment DNA-A, and parthenium segment DNA-A.
