Abstract

Identifying the modular structures in proteinprotein interaction networks is crucial to the understanding of the organization and function of biological systems. In this paper we introduce the concept of critical module in a network and propose an efficient algorithm to find all critical modules in a given network. Finally we tested the proposed algorithm on Yeast protein interaction data set.
