Abstract

Given the heterogeneity of cancer tumors, and the propensity of tumor cells to become resistant to therapy even when they are initially responsive, the current thinking is to administer multi-drug therapy to cancer patients. However, given the complexity of cancer, predicting the efficacy of multi-drug therapy, and the emergence of resistance, are important challenges. In this paper, a mini-survey is presented of some of the currently popular methods, and challenges for the future are indicated.
