Abstract

We introduce in lattice-gas hydrodynamics an interface between two fluids. The interface deforms locally under the impact of fluid particles. We define and measure a surface tension from Laplaces law applied to a circular bubble. Surface tension can be varied by changing the stiffness of the interface. A Boltzmann-type calculation gives an expression of surface tension in agreement with the numerical results.
