Abstract

Renal failure has been identified as a major predictor of surgical complications and esophagectomy carries high morbidity for patients. We discuss the preoperative and postoperative considerations for performing a minimally invasive Ivor-Lewis esophagectomy for a benign longsegment stricture in a patient with end-stage renal failure.
