Abstract

Metallic glasses are materials produced by rapid cooling of metallic melts avoiding crystallization. The excellent combination of mechanical, electiical and chemical properties of these disordered materials find their extensive use not only in the field of mechanical engineering but also in electrical and electronic components. This paper deals with the study of production of metallic glasses, their properties and technological applications.
