Abstract
Spin-polarized radioactive-isotope beams developed at RIKEN offer us the opportunity of studying structures of nuclei far from the stability line through the measurement of electromagnetic moments. The effects of the neutron excess on the structure are discussed through the systemic measurements of the μ-moments of nitrogen isotopes and the Q-moments of boron isotopes. We also applied the result of μ-moment measurements for 17C to the spin-parity assignment of its ground state.
