Abstract
A metastatic melanoma occurring in a yong 25-yr-old male albino, whose presumed primary skin lesion had been previously removed by fulguration, was confirmed on the basis of ultrastructural characteristics. These included the occasional presence of membrane-bound granular and fibrillar material often demonstrating concentric layering, structures interpreted as incompletely developed melanosomes. This case represents the eighth report of melanoma developing in an albino and the second studied by electron microscopy.
