Abstract
Maintaining remission in Crohn's disease patients is hampered by differences in study design, patients, drug regimens and definitions of remission. These obstacles need to be considered when interpreting and comparing studies, particularly in light of the rapidly growing literature on maintenance therapy. Each principal category of medication for Crohn's disease is covered by reviewing the published studies to date.
