Abstract

A concept of the load model basic vector is proposed, through which the component-based modeling approach and measurement-based modeling approach are combined. Based on the aggregation theory, the load model for a certain observed substation can be extended to the others. By building the load model's coefficient matrix from the load investigation, we can obtain the grid's load model basic vectors from the load model of a certain observed substation through the incompatibility equation. Then, the unknown load models of other substations can be obtained from the load model basic vectors. Finally, the grid's load model's databank can be obtained. This method was used in an actual power network and the good results obtained reveal the superiority and effectiveness of this method.
