Abstract

The interaction between Zaragoza and its rivers: evolution, conflicts and perspectives. This article demonstrates the relationships among the elements and structures of cities built on the banks of rivers. Cultural and ideological changes and new interests add complexity and mutability, which should help to integrate elements of the past and present in an attempt to predict water courses in the future. Apart from being an exciting challenge, it is a new paradigm in planning and managing water courses by improving their inter-action with the city of Zaragoza.
