Abstract

The SAGES Masters Program outlines a course of study for the practicing surgeon interested in learning more about metabolic and bariatric surgery. The curriculum progresses from competency to proficiency to the mastery curriculum. The bariatric pathway draws on lectures, video, and other educational contents such as the ASMBS Essentials. Learners are invited to the SAGES Bariatric Surgery Facebook channel to ask questions and share experience. Video submission, feedback, and coaching are novel elements of the Masters Program.
