Abstract
Experience with nitroglycerin administered as an intravenous drip to patients with severe coronary artery disease undergoing bypass surgery is discussed. It has been helpful in the management of accompanying hypertension and that it has the theoretical advantages of increasing coronary blood flow and decreasing myocardial work. The method used is described in detail.
