Abstract

A 37 year old man presented to the emergency department after being found down in a park. Initial Extended Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma (eFAST) was negative. On reassessment, the patient had abdominal pain and a positive eFAST. We describe the imaging modalities used to arrive at the diagnosis of intraperitoneal bladder rupture and discuss the findings that should prompt clinicians to evaluate for bladder rupture.
