Abstract

The relationship between the intensity of Rayleigh scattering (RS) and the density of molecules in gas flow is studied. We obtain RS images of O2 flow by means of pulsed UV laser (193nm) and ICCD camera. The RS images show the two dimensional density structure of the flow. We also measure the velocity across the flow by molecule tagging method.
