Abstract
A method utilizing the indirect immunofluorescent technique is described that permits a more rapid assay for the infectivity of the oncogenic virus, SV40. With this method both large and small plaque viruses as well as the DNA extracted from them give titer estimates that are comparable to those obtained in the standard plaque method.
