Abstract

Lymphocytes and polymorphonuclear leukocytes functions of 10 psoriatic patients treated with aromatic retinoid RO 10-9359 were investigated. No changes of OK-T subpopulations were observed before, during (days 7, 14) and at the end of treatment (day 21). No alterations of PMNs functions investigated (chemotaxis, bactericidal activity, phagocytosis, NBT test reduction, respiratory burst) before, during and after treatment were observed. Lymphocyte responsiveness to polyclonal mitogens (PHA, ConA, PWM) were basically normal and decreased during treatment. No influences of the metabolite RO 10-1670 on PMNs chemotaxis in vitro could be shown.
