Abstract
A large healthcare system launched a quality improvement initiative to reduce pump alarms and minimize residual volume by implementing customized tubing solutions. Early results have shown clinically significant reductions in alarm frequency and residual volume, as well as improvements in reliably implementing best practice nursing workflows and increasing nurse satisfaction.
