Abstract

Eight human recipients of renal allografts obtained from living related donors were studied with the colony inhibition test up to 192 days post-transplantation. All recipient patients' lymphocytes significantly inhibited colony formation by donor fibroblasts. The post-transplant serums of seven patients were able to specifically block this effect at various times after grafting.
