Abstract
Several recent advances in our understanding of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) were noteworthy, including observations on basic pathogenetic mechanisms-almost entirely absent heretofore-and further clinical description of subsets of HCM that emphasize and explain the heterogeneous manifestations of the disease.
