Abstract

A session on hydrogen production and management, presented at the 1998 NPRA Question and Answer Session on Refining and Petrochemical Technology, Washington, DC, covers over-the-fence delivery of hydrogen; temperature excursions and occasional loss of complete charges during the initial reduction of low temperature shift catalysts; processes for future hydrogen production, e.g., partial oxidation of waste streams; upgrading steam reformer heater tubes to HP modified alloy; technologies for assuring maximum use of limited H 2 resources; and use of PSA to recover LPG from hydrogen containing refinery gases.
