Abstract

This chapter will first explore how and what adolescents are searching online to manage their health concerns, then explores interventions that leverage digital technology to improve adolescent’s health, such as social media and applications. It examines the unique needs of special populations, and how parents of teens may be navigating health information about their teen(s) online. The chapter concludes by providing practical guidance to parents, educators, clinicians, and public health advocates who care for youth.
