Abstract

Bariatric surgery is a highly effective therapy for weight loss and the metabolic complications of obesity. However, postoperative complications are common and can be severe. Knowledge of the postoperative anatomy and the common complications of the major bariatric operations is crucial to correctly diagnosing and treating these complications.
