Abstract
This case study, from a noted geneticist, details the impact of the application of genomics on the development of significant advances in preventive medicine and effective treatment of direct benefit to the health and well-being of women and all individuals in general. Implications for curricular emphasis on the use of the best science, amplified by an equity lens, to address gender-specific morbidity and mortality are emphasized.
