Abstract
We present the case of a 45-year-old female patient with a history of anorexia nervosa who was converted from hemodialysis to peritoneal dialysis (PD). The initial PD prescription consisted of glucose-solution during the day and nocturnal amino acid-based solution twice weekly. After weight loss and progressive protein deficiency, the co-administration of glucose- and amino acid-based solution had an anabolic effect with subsequent body weight gain.
