Abstract

The research and clinical directions in the field of Men's Mental Health is rapidly developing. This chapter is the product of an international collaboration under the auspices of the World Federation of Biological Psychiatry's Task Force on Men's Mental Health to identify these clinical directions and areas for further research. The chapter identifies help-seeking behavior, impulsivity, alcohol and drug abuse in men, work related stress, bereavement, hormones, pharmacokinetics, and social awareness as areas of promise in the furhter development of the field of Men's Mental Health.
