Abstract

Women in medicine have made substantial strides throughout the years, but continue to face inequities throughout their careers that ultimately limit their ability to achieve personal and profession success. This is particularly true in male dominated fields like gastroenterology. In this article, we explore the various challenges and offer a review of strategies to overcome these challenges at each training and career milestone.
