Abstract

Scenario overview A 32-week premature infant is born to a pre-eclamptic mother in the resuscitation area. The infant is born blue, floppy and apneic. The team must use good NALS principles to revive the infant. If good-quality CPR is done the infant will slowly improve but will relapse with any poor resuscitation or post-resuscitation care (i.e. inadequate warming).
