Abstract

This chapter is designed to be a comprehensive review for residents, fellows, and practicing facial plastic surgeons undertaking their otolaryngology or facial plastic surgery board exams. It aims to illustrate the concepts of facial analysis and anatomy to facilitate in creating a strong foundation in the evaluation and treatment of the facial plastics patient. We provide a detailed review of surgical and medical approaches, techniques, and complications for facial reconstruction and augmentation. Topics included are from landmark articles and the most up to date sources, focused on pertinent details in the field of facial plastics and reconstructive surgery.
