Abstract

Sanghuangporus spp. is a valuable, large-sized, medicinal mushroom. Sanghuangporus spp. Polysaccharides (SSP) are one of its main active components. Previous research has shown that SSP have a variety of activities, including antioxidants, immune enhancement, hypoglycemia, and anti-cancer activity. However, there is a lack of a systematic overview of the relationship between the extraction, structural characteristics, and biological activities of SSP. Therefore, this paper reviews the research progress in the extraction, structural analysis, and biological activities of SSP, providing a theoretical basis for the further study of SSP and the expansion of its application in medical and other related fields.
