Abstract

Most patients with Parkinsons disease develop voice and speech disorders in the course of their illness. The effectiveness of the voice and speech therapy method LSVT LOUD has been described here. The extensive research behind this voice treatment, combined with successful clinical implementation globally, demonstrate the potential for LSVT LOUD to have a positive impact on quality of life for many individuals with neurological voice and speech disorders.
