Abstract

Eosinphilic esophagitis is a an IgE-mediated mucosal disease which has recent been increasingly recognized in both adults and children. This chapter discusses the diagnosis and treatment based on current research and published guidelines. It provides a stepwise approach to treatment and a discussion of its natural history.
