Abstract

Minimally invasive endocrine surgery has experienced multiple new developments. The purpose of this article is to discuss the endoscopic approach to the thyroid gland. The authors review the literature and discuss the surgical approach. Endoscopic thyroidectomy can be efficaciously and safely applied to thyroid disorders. Proper patient selection and skill in these new techniques are important when selecting this operative approach.
