Abstract

Endometriosis is the presence of normal endometrial tissue in an ectopic location. It can be found in the ovaries, uterine ligaments, peritoneal reflections of the pelvis, cervix, vagina, intestines, urinary tract, scar tissue, and thorax. Involvement of the urinary tract is well known but infrequently detected clinically. To our knowledge, this is the first description of the sonographic characteristics of vesical endometriosis.
