Abstract

This chapter focuses on the transcriptional activator known as erythroid Krüppel-like factor (EKLF). EKLF was originally isolated via a differential screening approach whereby mRNA that was specifically expressed in erythroid cells was identified after subtraction with common messages expressed in a myeloid cell line.
