abstract = "Herein, the effect of the synthesis parameters such as pH and temperature variation on the luminescent characteristics of Eu-doped Gd2O3 phosphors has been reported. Samples were prepared via co-precipitation synthesis route. To avoid the chances of concentration quenching, Eu-dopant amount was set to 4 mol%. Various properties such as structural, morphological, and luminescent properties have been investigated with different techniques. X-ray diffraction results confirmed the cubic phase of Gd2O3 and hexagonal phase corresponding to Gd(OH)3. Field emission electron microscopy revealed the rod-like morphology for samples synthesized at pH = 10. The samples were excited at 250 nm and exhibited intense emission band matching with Eu-ion 5D0 → 7F2 transitions. All the results are discussed in detail.",
