Richmond Center of Excellence in 2009, 2010, and 2013. Children from around the world were invited to contribute works of art that depict the importance of keeping children safe from the dangers of tobacco and secondhand smoke. Funding Information: The AAP Julius B. Richmond Center of Excellence is committed to protecting children from tobacco and secondhand smoke. The center receives core funding from the Flight Attendant Medical Research Institute (FAMRI). As FAMRI board member and former flight attendant Patricia L. Young discovered during her career, “people who are forced to breathe secondhand tobacco smoke suffer from the same diseases as smokers.” She and the FAMRI Board of Directors work to support health research for people who are affected by tobacco smoke but who, like flight attendants and children, have no voice and no choice in their exposure to deadly tobacco smoke.",
