Abstract

In this study, 309 hemodialysis patients were examined for three months to determine whether patients dialyzed in the evening have a better response to EPO (higher hematocrit) than those dialyzed early in the morning. Linear regression analysis with achieved hematocrit as the outcome variable showed that the time of day a patient receives dialysis has no effect on their response to EPO.
