Abstract

FM frequencies), have been utilized to create valuable medical and non-medical devices. The NIR range consists of light of wavelength ranging from 700 to 2500 nm. A useful feature of light in this wavelength range is that it can penetrate several millimeters into tissue, and is absorbed and scattered by different chemicals very selectively. This makes it possible to perform spectroscopic analysis to identify chemical composition of the tissue.
