Abstract
The endocrine manifestations of Sheehan's syndrome are often complex and heterogeneous. In patients with Sheehan's syndrome, anterior pituitary gland hypofunction can range from complete insufficiency to subtle impairment of pituitary hormone reserve. Neurohypophyseal dysfunction is an infrequent but recognized complication of Sheehan's syndrome. A case of Sheehan's syndrome associated with the late onset of diabetes insipidus is presented in order to highlight the heterogeneity of endocrine dysfunction that can be present in patients with postpartum pituitary necrosis.
