N2 - To the Editor: The paper by Forrester, Herman and Gorlin in the October 8, 1970, issue of the Journal is interesting but perplexing. Reported on are “two separate patient subgroups,” the first representing “a prospective consecutive analysis of 253 patients,” and the second “51 patients who exhibited classic angina pectoris but had normal coronary arteries on selective coronary angiography.”” These subgroups are clearly separated in the text. It is of interest that no example of “classic angina pectoris” with “normal coronary arteries” was seen in a consecutive series of 253 patients subjected to selective coronary angiography, particularly when 65 of ….
