Abstract

Electrode catheter ablation using radiofrequency (RF) energy has emerged rapidly from being an experimental technique to becoming the treatment of choice for many patients with refractory supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) and selected cases of ventricular tachycardia. The following discussion concerns the use of RF ablation in a patient with recurrent, symptomatic A-V nodal re-entry tachycardia.
