Abstract
Invasive digital subtraction angiography is the traditional method by which disease of the lower extremities has been assessed, but it is an expensive and time-consuming procedure with a complication rate of approximately 2-3%. To avoid unnecessary invasive diagnostic procedures and to evaluate possible therapeutic options before an intervention, a non-invasive examination assessing the extent of disease in a patient presenting with lower extremity pathology is often indicated.
