Abstract
In this study, continuous flow PD (CFPD) was performed in 58-year-old woman with ESRD from polycystic kidney disease who, during a two-stage procedure for replacement of a catheter, had 2 catheters for a short interval. Pre and post BUN, creatinine and electrolytes were measured as well as at intervals during the procedure. Peritoneal fluid and external dialysate samples were also drawn at the same intervals. The results confirm that CFPD is an effective procedure with higher solute clearances than standard PD.
