Abstract
The diagnosis and management of thyroid cancer is the subject of some debate. The introduction of high resolution imaging and positron emission tomography has raised questions regarding the management of incidentally identified nodules and glucose avid carcinoma. This review is designed to address the contemporary approach to the management of thyroid cancer and discuss the controversies associated with initial management and recurrent disease.
