Abstract
The uterine cervix of two women who had uterine prolapse revealed interstitial neuropathy, necrotizing vasculitis and perivasculitis. The patients did not show neurologic symptoms. It is speculated that the lesions are secondary to the pressure exerted by the pessary, with subsequent nerve injury and chronic inflammation.
