Abstract
This chapter uses a case-based approach to discuss special considerations for colon cancer screening in the geriatric population. Based on current guidelines and prevalence of colon cancer, a framework is provided on decisions to screen, risks and benefits of screening, as well as complications from screening in the older adult. A brief discussion follows on emerging technologies with regards to colon cancer screening.
