Abstract

In the last decade the number of programs providing cognitive remediation services has grown tremendously. Clearly, there is a need for treatments that address the many cognitive problems that have hampered the productivity of brain injury victims. Unfortunately, program growth has proceeded without sound empirical basis. This article provides a description of cognitive remediation and addresses issues pertaining to research and clinical work.
